Sep 15, 2008 · Recently, a boarder in my house has used his PS3 to connect to the internet connection in my home. Our internet does not feed through a router, so he cannot get the internet that way. He also does not use an ethernet cable to gain internet access. However, he is still gaining access to the internet somehow, but every time he does both computers in my home lose their access. When this happens I have a usb broadband modem and connect my ps3 to the laptop through ethernet cable. On windows 7 i could easily share my internet connection with the ps3 but with windows 8 the networking control panel is different and I have tried many things to try and get my ps3 to use the internet connection but nothing works.
